Rueil-Malmaison, France, October 28, 2025 – Schneider Electric, the global specialist in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced the launch of Schneider Boost Pro, a modular battery energy storage system (BESS) aimed at the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector boasting a usable capacity of 200 kWh per unit utilizing lithium-ferrophosphate (LFP) prismatic cell technology.

With this launch, Schneider Electric is responding to the worldwide increase in interest for flexible, resilient, and sustainable energy solutions among businesses. The Schneider Boost Pro is designed to provide companies with a way to optimize their energy operations through cost management and increased power supply stability.

Flexible and Scalable Design for Changing Energy Requirements

One of the good things about the Schneider Boost Pro is its modular, scalable design. A single unit provides 200 kWh of capacity, and energy storage can be scaled up to 2 MWh by combining up to 10 units. This means the system can be customized to meet the energy demands of small to large facilities.

"Scalable from 200 kWh to 2 MWh, by combining up to 10 units, Schneider Boost Pro is one part of Schneider Electric's end-to-end technology to optimize energy delivery as demand increases," the statement reads. "This is one solution that supports the energy transition with energy storage that provides more flexibility, stability, and efficiency across industrial and commercial buildings."

Solid Performance and Technical Specifications

The Schneider Boost Pro is engineered to deliver high performance and reliability across a variety of utilization conditions. Each unit offers 100 kVA of rated AC power and maximum system efficiency of 90.8%. It has a functional depth of discharge of 93%, meaning the majority of the stored energy is available for use. The system has a rapid response time of 700 milliseconds and can complete the scheduling of charge and discharge backup transfer time of just 30 minutes.

The system has been built to function in the toughest of environments, including an IP55 protection rating for dust and water intrusion, and operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C (with derating of performance above 45°C). The unit also includes built-in gas fire-extinguishing equipment for safety, as well as physical dimension of a single unit being 1.257 meters long, 1.437 meters wide, 2.18 meters high, and weighs 2,557 kg. Of further note, the unit also offers high security through data safeguards and encrypted communications.

Widespread Range of Applicability

The Schneider Boost Pro is multifunctional, and able to adapt to a variety of C&I applications. It permits organizations to stock energy produced by renewable sources right on premises, like solar panels, and use it later in their operations, leading to even greater energy independence and sustainability. Organizations may also deploy it to store electricity on off-peak usage at off-peak rates, to reduce energy use during peak demand spikes when utility cross-subsidization is greatest.

The Schneider Boost Pro is not only limited to an ordinary commercial or industrial building, for example, it could easily be applied to an effective depot to charge heavy duty vehicles, from buses to trucks. This product can also be utilized as part of transit infrastructure - along highways or transit routes for example - with reliable and high-capacity electric vehicle charging systems.

Promotion of the Sustainable Energy Future

The introduction of the Schneider Boost Pro furthers Schneider Electric's commitment to support and enable organizations to make the most of their energy efforts. Keeing the spirit of its proud legacy to connected technology, the Schneider Boost Pro battery storage technology is a scalable option to energy storage and helps connect progress and sustainability for all within a systems-affordance approach to energy systems.

The new BESS expands Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure™ ecosystem to enable integrated microgrid capabilities that allow organizations to better manage their energy usage, lessen their environmental footprint, and support grid reliability.
