Lithium Battery (100AH 51.2V). Our off-grid solar system's lithium battery comes equipped with BYD's innovative blade battery technology. What are the advantages compared to older batteries? - Form Factor: The blade structure increases the energy density of each cell by elongating them, resulting in better volumetric efficiency. Older cylindrical and square battery designs are significantly worse in these parameters. - Performance: The blade structure features a flat shape that helps with heat dissipation, thus improving thermal management and energy efficiency. The lithium iron phosphate material used in blade batteries helps maintain energy density when cold and offers better environmental performance, making them cheaper than conventional batteries which perform poorly in cold weather and boast subpar density. - Safety: In safety evaluations, blade batteries perform exceptionally well. For example, the needle puncture test shows no smoking or flaming and only a 30 to 60-degree C surface temperature. This is far safer than lithium iron phosphate and ternary lithium batteries, which tend to have much higher surface temperatures and far worse safety performance.

Such projects are beneficial in increasing energy generation, which is useful in improving efficiency in off-grid systems, meeting more demand, or in scaling system performance. Careful planning is needed, however, to ensure the new components can be seamlessly integrated with the system's inverter and battery storage. Not every roof may be favorable for the installation of solar panels. Multiple reasons dictate whether a roof is capable of accommodating photovoltaic systems. Some of the main factors are
1. Clear Property Rights:
The rooftop must have unambiguous, independently held property rights. Installations are unsuitable on roofs in designated demolition zones or protected areas where permission is unlikely. This prevents future legal disputes.
2. Building Age and Condition:
Buildings must be 15 years old or less.
Structures showing signs of significant deterioration or functional obsolescence are excluded.
Roofs slated for renovation or needing tile replacement within the next five years are ineligible.
The roof structure must be confirmed to have sufficient strength to reliably support the solar system's weight for the system's entire operational lifespan.
3. Clear Installation Area:
The designated installation zone must have no permanent obstructions (like chimneys, vents, or tall neighboring structures) that cast shade onto the panels.
Preventing shade is critical because it causes uneven heating ("hot spots") during operation.
These hot spots reduce the system's overall energy production and will compromise the long-term integrity of the affected solar panels.
