01. Reserved Area Specification
LiFePO4 Solar Electric Systems must be installed in non-living spaces and the surrounding materials must be non-combustible and fire-rated. Some recommended areas are:
• Utility rooms that are physically separated by at least 80 cm from other wall surfaces

• Garages with fire rated interior separation and thermal management

• Enclosures or dedicated outdoor structures with minimum IP54 rating

Safety Rationale: NFPA 855 requires limited distances of separation to limit thermal propagation.

02. Ventilation - Prohibited Occupancy
Professional installations provided that there are no occupied spaces such as:
• Bedrooms (prohibited per UL 9540 safety standard)

• Living spaces with operational air recirculation systems
